The Basics
Coir geotextile explained.
What is coir geotextile?
A woven fabric made from coconut husk fibre. It is natural and biodegradable, and it protects soil while vegetation establishes.
What does GSM mean?
GSM is grams per square metre. A higher GSM means a heavier, denser fabric, generally used where more strength or longer protection is needed.
How much does one roll cover?
One 2m × 50m roll covers 100m² before allowing for overlaps and edge trenching.
How long does coir last?
Coir breaks down naturally over time. Lifespan depends on grade and site conditions, so confirm expectations against your project needs.
Import & Biosecurity
Australian import requirements are checked for every product.
Natural-fibre products are subject to Australian biosecurity conditions. We confirm the import pathway and documentation for each product before making commercial commitments. Ask us if you need details for your project.
